A strange town surrounded by four gigantic white marble walls, and covered by a cloudy, rose-tinted sky. The landscape and buildings are well-cared for, and food and supplies are plentiful. But the only inhabitants are people of a variety of other worlds. It seems everyone residing in Elysian City simply appeared there at random.

No one knows how they ended up here, but everyone knows there is no way to leave. The gates refuse to open to even the strongest muscle or magic, and the walls do not seem to end. What could be going on in this city? It seems that only time will tell.

Sarah Chase was painfully disoriented. It was bad enough that she was stuck away from the city... bad enough that she couldn't find any of her family or friends. The worst of it was that she was alone. And if there was one thing she hated, it was being alone. This place gave her the heebie-jeebies. Where was the group she was traveling with before? That nice man who was trying to find his family and friends?

And how in the world did she get where she was now? It looked to be somewhere in the middle of the city, which bothered her. She couldn't shake the feeling that someone was watching her, which just made it worse. Her brow furrowed and she shivered, drawing into herself a bit as she plunked down on a bench. Unable to sit that long like that, she stood and ran through a kata, trying to clear her mind, just as Shina Onoe - the unarmed combat trainer to all the Autobots - had taught her.

When that didn't work, she made a frustrated noise and clenched her hands at her hips, tipping her chin upward as she shouted, angry and loud, "Why isn't anybody here?!"

The area may, at the time, have seemed rather peaceful. Most would have enjoyed that, but the two combatants who had at first fought in the forest had found each other again.

Kenji suddenly fell from some place higher up, landing hard on his back. Ryoushi, in his true lupine form, landed on his paws a few feet in front of him, hackles raised as he snarled. The earthquake previously had irritated him, and he just didn't like Kenji.

The hanyou got to his feet, baring his claws. He was smirking. "Still don't wanna give up? Fine. I'll send you packing!"

Neither of them noticed that they were not alone in the town center, and quite frankly, they wouldn't care either way. They were focusing on each other, having formed a violent rivalry.

(OOC: There. Something else for Sarah to freak out about, maybe. XD)

Impulse was not built for tiny enclosed spaces like this. To tell the truth it was starting to drive him crazy. Being someone that was used to crossing the U.S. in a matter of seconds, winding up trapped in a space that had to be smaller than his hometown of Manchester was maddening. His secondary concern was just how much trouble he was going to be in once he got home. What had it been now- two days? Maybe even three...the speedster wasn't sure. Max was going to ground him for months...and he'd hate to see how upset Robin and his other Young Justice teammates would be with him for not reporting in.

Having been dashing around trees, not nearly at his full speed, Impulse skidded to a stop as he came to a big wide open square, and a young girl standing in the middle. He tilted his head curiously, watching as she moved in a strange repeating circle...Did she have to go to the bathroom? For an instant Bart was gone again, reappearing a sort distance away from her just in time for her to shout, which startled him.

"I'm here," He spoke up, offering a goofy grin. "Do I count as anybody?"

Before the girl could respond, he spotted the approaching fight. While running away would have been an easy way out, Bart didn't think he and the girl were targets. Just to be safe though, before she could give an argument, the teenager scooped her up, and zwipped to the other side of the square, out of the way of any potential danger.

((I like the word zwip...so it is now officially a word.))

Well, that all happened rather quickly, didn't it? A rather startled Sarah was at first distracted by a nearby confrontation before Bart arrived, startling her rather fully. "Ah!" She blinked a bit, taking a step or two back as wide blue eyes regarded the wild-haired boy. And she would've said something, too, had he not scooped her up and zipped away from the brawl. When he came to a stop, she was blushing, her fists clutched up under her chin and arms drawn in against her sides and chest. "Um. Thanks?"

She finally got down, shyly tugging on her pale blond hair. "I mean, for helping. I don't wanna get in the way of... that is to say, if they start fighting... um..." Letting out a breath, she finally gets a bright smile onto her face and holds out a small hand. "Thanks for helping me. My name's Sarah. Sarah Chase." She tries not to pay much mind to the conflict behind her. Though she could take care of herself in a pinch, fighting isn't something she really wants to do right now.

Sometimes it was difficult for Bart to remember that most other people weren't used to moving as fast as he was. He did remember though, upon finally glancing down at the other girl's face. "Oh, heh...whoops. Sorry." He said with an amused grin. After a moment he carefully placed the girl on the ground. "You're okay, right?" His grin didn't even remotely falter, even after he took a quick glance at the brewing fight. "I don't even wanna know what's going on there..." He shrugged and waved a hand dismissively. And finally he looked back to Sarah and beamed. "Nice to meetcha," He said brightly. "I'm Impulse."

((Haha....yeah, supershort...but, I have no idea what else to have going on...))

Anyone else in the town center was ignored, although both combatants were aware of their scents.

The jewel shard in Kenji's forehead gave a faint glow as he lunged, slashing at Ryoushi with his claws. The wolf ducked back, then countered by snapping his jaws, but the hanyou was also quick to evade.

Kenji smirked, then took off, and Ryoushi dashed after him. "See if you can keep up, furball!"
