The trip was long... Far longer than any other distance Roy had ever had to walk. Not because of physical length of their trip, but because of the effort it took to keep moving. Even that short amount of sleep he'd gotten had done little to help him. And the longer he was awake and focused on the extreme exhaustion, the more he realized he was feeling dehydrated and hungry. In fact, the hunger gripped at his stomach and wrenched it, twisting it into a tiny knot in his innards.
There were points where he had to concede and sit down, breathing hard, knees shaking. But after he'd caught his breath, he'd stand back up (sometimes accepting Havoc's help, other times not) and they eventually moved the short distance in the direction Havoc had mentioned.
Thankfully, there was a place that would suit their purposes far closer than that strange shop in which they'd slept. Havoc had been struggling to carry Ed without hurting him further, and by the time they approached the desolate looking building, both men were panting, sweating, and looking rather tired.
"See what's inside Lieutenant Havoc," Roy breathed, leaning on the edge of a worn fence. It creaked under his weight and it felt like his bones were mimicking the sound. There wasn't much that they could do if there WAS something hostile in there... However he still raised his hand and poised it for attack should attack be necessary.
It wasn't, however, and soon Roy had been ushered into the building and settled on an old, dusty bed in the room. Ed had been placed in a bed next to him that Havoc had moved in from another area of the worn down house. Lying down on something even remotely comfortable was like HEAVEN.
Roy sighed and hooked his arm over his face, elbow resting just over the bridge of his nose. "How is Fullmetal? Has he woken up yet?" that strange urge to cry hit him quite suddenly, and it was al he could do not to give a great big sniff. Stop WORRYING, Mustang. He'll be fine.
Right?

As they walked, Havoc was sure a few times that Mustang wasn’t going to make it. He still wasn’t sure why it seemed the other man could barely move, but it was quite worrisome. Not only was he concerned about the Colonel’s health, but if they were attacked, they would wind up very dead. Mustang was not fit to fight right now, and Ed was even less so. The blond man put very little faith in his own weapons against the creatures they had encountered here so far.
Havoc cast a quick glance at the unconscious boy in his arms. He was nervous with every step that he might jar the young alchemist in some strange way and spread the poison in his system or further aggravate his wound. However thus far Ed had been completely silent, aside from the occasional sounds of his uneven breathing. But Havoc wasn’t sure whether to be grateful, or more worried because of it.
The second time the Colonel had to stop to rest, Havoc began to think the trip to the original building was too far. By the third time, he was positive it was. He was getting tired too. Not that Ed was terribly heavy, but Havoc had gone this whole way with every muscle overly tense for fear of dropping or hurting the boy and now he wound up feeling drained as well.
So when a run down, but still standing building came into view, Havoc gave a huge sigh of relief. At the very least this was shelter. However when the Colonel told him to investigate it, it took a bit of effort to not complain. (With his lack of enthusiasm in dangerous situations, at times Havoc couldn’t remember WHY he had ever joined the military). The blond man nodded once and started toward the building, slowly moving one hand to draw a gun, though he still managed to hold onto Ed.
The inside of the little building was dark, smelled funny, and was nowhere near any sort of clean. Cobwebs clung to every corner and a layer of dust lay undisturbed across a small table next to the door, and an empty trunk across the room. On the opposite side of the room sat an old bed with a shabby mattress. Another bed was randomly tossed on its side halfway through a doorway to another room. It was a light frame though, and Havoc managed to move it into the room and flip it back upright with one leg. He checked to make sure it was sturdy, and then, just as carefully as he had first picked him up, lay Ed on the mattress. Then he turned and went back to the doorway and gestured to Mustang to come in. The place was safe enough, though Havoc did suspect the slightest wind could knock it down.
Once Mustang was lying down too, Havoc sat himself between the two beds, resting his head against the wall behind him. As sore as he was now, it would be much worse the next day. Damn what he wouldn’t give for a cigarette…
He glanced at the Colonel as the man spoke, and frowned, his eyes shifting then to Ed, though he was sure he already knew the answer. “Nope, I don’t think so,” He said slowly. No sooner had he finished saying that though, than the boy stirred. Havoc sat up, eyes widening. “Wait.”
The young alchemist moved, but quickly stopped and let out a short cry. After a moment his eyes opened slightly, though they didn’t seem to hold a full sense of awareness. He moved a hand slowly to rub at his eyes, then squinted, and finally closed them again. He may not have noticed the other two men in the room, but after another short pause, he spoke, or tried to in a cracked voice. Whatever the words were though, only came out as jumbled sounds.
((Wow that was like almost noooo dialogue. :< But Edo is some kinda semblance of awake. I decided to hold off on doing his POV til next post, 'cause 1- I gotta get to work, and 2- I don't think he's with it enough to really think XD But yay! Postie done! K-bai!))

((haha IT'S OKAY. I'll DEAL with it, WOO!))
Well, that wasn't the answer he'd been hoping for. "You don-" But Roy cut himself off when Havoc added a 'wait.' to his answer. The Colonel waited, fighting against exhaustion and the need to close his eyes and not open them for a good long while. That is, if he could ignore the hunger rolling around inside him. It was as if that strange shapeshifter had simply taken everything that kept him going. He needed food, sleep, time to recover. And yet the man was hardly allowing himself any of that.
Where food was, he had no idea. And he'd never verbally admit it, but he was afraid to close his eyes for too long. Those dreams had been SO real... So brutal that he feared returning to that nightmarish world. He didn't want to see Rika die again and again and again... Just because of his hasty action and short temper. No, he'd fight it for as long as he could. He needed to be awake, aware. To make sure that Edward would pull through and that Havoc had someone as well.
He wouldn't admit, even to himself, that he needed his Lieutenant there with him... FOR him. Even Edward's company was preferable to that bloody world locked away inside his own subconscious. The dark haired man shook himself and raised his arm enough to glance over at Lt. Havoc. The blond seemed intent on watching Ed, who was very slowly stirring form his prone position on the bed.
There was a brief moment where Ed said nothing and Roy thought that perhaps his stirring was only something reactionary to him having been moved, perhaps. But then the boy tried to speak, and Roy felt his heart leap in his chest. If Ed was ACTUALLY waking up, if he was trying to move, then perhaps the Colonel's efforts hadn't been for naught.
Finding somewhere a voice that didn't shake, words that didn't crack, Roy spoke up, "Welcome to the land of those still alive, Fullmetal," Roy muttered. "It's a shock you're here." He gave a bit of a snifff and rubbed at his nose with his jacket sleeve, trying to hide the intense relief on his pale face. To hide the tears yet again threatening to overflow. "Though I suppose it's my handiwork that saved you. How does it feel to be so indebted to your superior officer, Edward?"
Where the energy had come from for such a quip was quite a mystery, but as Ed sat up and seemed more alert, more ALIVE, Roy felt very much the same way. Mayhap it was whatever spell had been on him wearing off, or perhaps his condition was somehow connected to Edward's.... It was a conundrum that Roy had not the energy with which to handle it.
Not quite yet.

((Uwaaaa, so, I kinda left Havoc out of this one...but I can kinda see him just kinda sitting there, 'specially since Ed isn't doing all that much yet...I feel like I need to look up first aid stuff...or something XD))
Awareness began to come back to Ed at an exceptionally slow pace. What had been nothing but darkness gradually began to grow lighter as his senses regained their conscious functions. There were voices, familiar ones, but for the moment his mind could not process who they belonged to. His body ached from head to toe, radiating in waves from his belly. He moved his arm sluggishly toward the source of the pain, then stopped. It was probably a bad idea. And underneath all of that, he felt strange. Everything still seemed fuzzy, his limbs felt like lead, and he was too warm. After a few minutes the boy opened his eyes a little. The world above him was blurry and dull, and with a grunt of frustration Ed slowly raised one hand to rub at his eyes. That didn’t seem to work either. The young alchemist narrowed his eyes for a minute, then finally let them close again. There wasn’t much to see anyway, he figured.
~What happened..?~ It took a moment for Ed to realize he hadn’t said that out loud; that when he’d tried to speak, only an odd garble of unintelligible sounds. He recalled vaguely being attacked by the woman that looked like Lieutenant Hawkeye, only not. He remembered being stabbed, and bleeding, but his thoughts were too muddled to recall anything more. His mind at least managed to register that this was frustrating. Incredibly frustrating. Okay…He drew a shaky breath. Try again.
He slowly opened his eyes again. His vision was still blurry, but as he turned his head to the side, he could make out a pair of figures; one sitting close by, and the other laying on what looked like another bed. One, he realized upon hearing a voice, was the Colonel. Something in his tone sounded a little odd, but Ed couldn’t quite figure out why. He made a face, figuring the others wouldn't see it. He had to start in with cracks like that right off the bat, didn’t he?
That got Ed annoyed, and apparently downright determined. It took an effort, but the blond boy sluggishly moved his arms into a position to hold his weight against his elbows. Despite a stabbing pain in his middle as he slowly started to push himself somewhat upright. He managed, and his arms held his weight, at least for now. His gaze, still rather glassy settled on Mustang and he drew in a short breath. “Ha-ate…you,” He gasped out, his voice finally functioning somewhat, though hoarse, and nowhere near as forceful as he’d intended. It was actually somewhat embarrassing, that he’d sounded that way, particularly in front of the Colonel, and Lieutenant Havoc (who Ed quickly realized the other man was).
Ed did realize that the dark haired man’s actions probably HAD saved his life, but he didn’t make any motion to apologize. He glanced downward, silently studying his wound that had been burned shut. The clothes he had left, only a ruined shirt and tattered pants, were covered in drying blood. The boy made a groggy note in the back of his head to make sure the Colonel replaced them. A few more seconds passed and his arms at last began to protest his movements, as well as supporting his weight. He tried to ignore it, momentarily clenching his teeth before he attempted to speak again. “How…” Unfortunately he cut himself off, biting back a cry as his frame shuddered involuntarily. Apparently his body had had enough. He would have to wait a few more minutes before speaking again. In the meantime though, as thought at least became a little easier, the boy began to wonder how they had wound up here, where they were, and maybe most importantly, why he wasn’t dead…
But since the Colonel seemed to be taking credit for that, Ed wasn't even sure he wanted to hear the story.

Edward was struggling to sit up, and at the same time, Roy was finding that he had enough energy to prop himself up as well. The exhaustion was waning, and with it, the man was thankful to realize, the urge to cry. Ed was moving, he was alive, breathing, and waking up. That meant that perhaps what he'd done hadn't hurt him more than helped.
In fact, a nasty little smirk came to the Colonel's face and he looked over at Ed as he barely managed to get 'hate you' out. He looked quite self-satisfied at rousing anger in the young man, and as Ed's ability to keep himself upright soon started breaking down, Roy pushed himself into a sitting position watching Edward closely. The boy's movements were shaky, but sound. And he was examining the patch job that Mustang had done.
This led Roy to give a very tight-lipped look towards Havoc. At least to Roy's knowledge, he and his Lieutenant had gone through a similar situation - but with Lust, not a shape-shifting horror that had taken on Riza's form. It was perhaps this memory that had made the current situation strike him as hard as it did. Another of the people he cared about had almost been lost to the enemy by way of a (in his opinion) careless mistake. Mustang had lost control of himself, and it had resulted in an unnecessary fight between Edward and himself, as well as the young alchemist being severely injured.
For a brief moment, he quietly chastised himself for having such lax judgement and a lack of observation.
He then cleared his throat and replied to Ed's cut-short sentence. "You were stabbed by a woman parading around as Lieutenant Hawkeye. There must have been some sort of toxin on her... weapon," No need, really, to say that he'd been pretty sure it was a wing, not a knife, "and you reacted to it instantly. There was little I could do to help, but I did what I could." That was the closest to an apology for what had happened that Roy could bring himself to give, at least at the current moment.
"Havoc," he said, rubbing at the side of his face. At least he didn't feel like dropping right there and never waking up again. "Check on our surroundings. Make sure no one is even close. Our need for aid," he paused, taking a long moment to look Edward over before continuing, "can be momentarily delayed. What we need to do now is exchange information. Something bigger than any of us thought is going on here. We need to find out what it is before the enemy can act."
And then Roy looked over at Ed, "Are you feeling up to discussion, Fullmetal?"

For the few moments of silence, Ed began to doze off almost unable to keep enough of a grasp on consciousness. It was difficult to focus, to keep his eyes open, and in the back of his mind, it was incredibly annoying to realize the effort it was taking. He was quite certain he’d be made fun of for the rest of his life. That was enough to keep the young alchemist fighting to stay awake, through sheer determination. Ed turned his head in the Colonel’s direction as the man started to speak again.
Ed remembered some of what Mustang was saying. He remembered the woman that had looked like Lieutenant Hawkeye, and until almost the last second Ed had believed that was really her. He recalled the woman pulling a gun and firing…but wait, that was wrong. The Colonel had gotten it right. The woman had stabbed him. The boy momentarily winced in recalling that, then tried to focus again. Poison rather made sense being that he still felt quite woozy. Really he didn’t remember much other than random words and a mess of blur after that point. He did have physical proof though, Ed briefly winced, one hand moving toward his stomach, that Mustang had saved his life. There probably wouldn’t ever be much the blond could do to make him ever forget it, either.
In the meantime Havoc, who had aside from a sigh of relief when Ed woke up had been pretty quiet, gave Mustang a brief, wide-eyed look (partially though, he was still confused as to how someone could have been going around acting like Lieutenant Hawkeye). The past few minutes hadn’t done much to boost the blond man’s nearly nonexistent confidence in protecting TWO wounded State Alchemists. “Yessir,” He said after a moment, quickly getting to his feet. He added with a playful smirk as he moved to the door. “Guess it’s a good thing one of us can still get around.” And with that he slipped outside.
Havoc rounded the building slowly, holding his breath for almost half a trip around. He was quite pleased, however, upon returning to where he started after a minute or so, to find that they were, for now, alone. He would remain outside for the time being though to keep an eye out. The Colonel and Ed had matters to discuss that he hadn’t even heard about (and he was pretty sure would break his brain if he tried to understand).
As Havoc left the building Ed slowly turned his head toward Mustang again. “Yeah,” He gave a short nod, wondering though when his voice would actually start functioning properly. Putting this much effort just into talking was frustrating (especially for somebody like Ed). “Need to find out where Al is first.” Getting all of that out in one breath, the boy was rather proud of himself, but blurry eyes still regarded the dark haired man seriously. “They can’t do anything…without him.”

((AHH! I FORGOT TO POST! *tries to post real fast before bed*))
At Havoc's comment, Roy made a bit of a face, but that didn't mean he wasn't thankful. Havoc might have put on that he was rather lazy and avoided doing work, but in the end, Roy trusted the man with his life - as he was, in a sense, doing right now. Neither he nor Ed were in any shape to defend themselves (or even each other), so it was up to the Lieutenant to keep them safe. Mustang was pretty sure the blond knew that, and wouldn't be taking anything too lightly.
When Havoc didn't come back, the Colonel wasn't exactly worried. He was sure that his subordinate was stationing himself outside, keen on seeing any danger before the danger could catch a glimpse of them. That worry now pushed to the back of his mind, Roy was able to focus on Ed. The Colonel's head was clearing up, and with each passing second, he felt stronger. Strangely enough, it looked like Edward was in a similar position.
Roy was too busy in his own thoughts to realize that his own stomach was starting to hurt, as if he'd been burned there... He attributed it to old scars and memories.
He had no idea it very well could have been something else entirely.
"Finding Alphonse is a high priority," Roy agreed, focusing his sharp gaze on Edward. It felt rather embarrassing to be speaking to the boy from a bed, especially when the blond was in one himself... But they'd have to make due. "But in order to do that, we're going to have to find out who took him and WHY. We can't go in there uneducated, Edward. We don't even know where 'there' is." Roy took a deep breath and let it out slowly, coming to a decision. If they were going to be able to work together and get things done, then they'd have to be more open with their information.
"I had an encounter with a certain..." What the hell would you call him? "Someone. He called himself Bedlam." Roy proceeded to explain the interaction he and the irritating blond boy had, thus giving reason for him to have attacked Edward in the first place, and how it was likely that due to such circumstances, they were both still alive. Of course, he reiterated how important it was that Roy had been there to save Edward, and not necessarily the other way around.
"And so you see, Fullmetal, we're in far deeper than either of us had initially thought. We're not just stuck here, there are targets. You're one of them." He took a quiet breath, "Rika was another. But I don't know if by her dying," saying 'killed' would be admitting his involvement, and it was just too painful, "that part of the Key is lost, or if it moved. That's a factor that's thrown a kink into the engine of their plan. While our unseen adversaries are scrambling to regroup, I suggest we rally our own people together. Covertly. We can't let on that they know anything. Is that understood?"

((SORRY for the long delay! *cry* Life and stuff and...other stuff...keeps getting in my way! But hey, at least today I was up before 4:30!))
As much as Ed hated to admit, the Colonel was very right about finding Al. They really did have no idea where he was, or where to look (and Ed himself had already spent a great deal of time searching). The boy was sure though he knew why his brother had been kidnapped, and it rather terrified him. Using Al's body to store other souls...Ed didn't know what would happen, but he easily imagined the worst scenarios. He let out a frustrated sigh, which he quickly cut off as he realized it hurt. The blond clenched his teeth, and finally gave a half-hearted nod. He didn't quite have the strength to carry on like he normally would do anyway.
For a few moments Ed was so absorbed in trying to come up with some drastic plan to find and save Al that he missed part of what Mustang had continued on about. He realized the man was still speaking about the time he got to saying how this Bedlam guy had sent the Colonel after him. "Hmph, not usually like you to...t'take orders from kids..." The young alchemist said, though not quite in the snarky tone he'd intended it to be said in. There was a trace of a smirk on the boy's face for an instant before he resumed a more serious, though still tired expression.
"Bedlam, huh...?" Ed narrowed his eyes "Then he's the one whose ass I need to kick..." It was almost funny the blond saying that as he was barely sitting up, and probably unable to even stand on his own. He cast a glare in the Colonel's direction as he again went on about how he'd saved him. The blond's expression remained sour for a few seconds. Ed could have blamed Mustang for some of this- the dark haired man attacking him had worn him down in the first place, after all. He chose to keep his mouth shut, however, and didn't add anything more to that part of the explanation. After all the Colonel admittedly hadn't been himself then.
Ed lifted his head again, making a move to push himself upright a little more, but a sudden sharp pain in his belly made him stop, and frustrated, he lay down yet again. He closed his eyes for a few seconds as Mustang mentioned Rika, all thoughts freezing on the awful memory of the little girl's body. For the second time over the course of the conversation Ed nearly lost track of what the Colonel was saying. "The Key she had'll find somebody else..." He muttered at last, opening his eyes again. The boy recalled hearing that from Luna. "Might take a long time though."
His gaze drifted back to the Colonel again. He got what the man was saying, and nodded slightly. "Whatever that Bedlam guy did to your gloves...can you still see the Keys...? You might be the only one here..." Ed trailed off, not sure if he was making sense , or even if Mustang still could see the Keys, what good it would do for him to find them...It could prove helpful...or it might end up making one enormous target for those trying to find them.

((OKAY. NOW I DO THAT POSTIN' THING!))
What Edward said was rather surprising. That the Key would find someone else was one thing, but for Ed to say it like he knew that for a fact was another. Roy couldn't help but wonder who it was the blond had talked to. Was there someone else who knew about the Keys? And if so, whose side were they on? Bedlam obviously had some rather diabolical plans for them - the Colonel had absolutely no trouble in seeing that - but what about Ed's source of information?
...Well, he trusted Ed to have decent judgement of people, at least where it counted. And with his brother involved, then it was likely Ed was being very, very careful.
Roy shifted when Ed asked about his gloves. He sat up fully, the incredible exhaustion that had so crippled him earlier nearly gone, and produced the one glove that was still intact and looked it over, leaving the one that Ed had torn in his pocket. He'd have to get the boy to fix that at some point. There were a few brownish-red blotches on the palm (Edward's blood, no doubt) but the alchemic symbol (thank whatever gods might be out there) hadn't been touched. To be perfectly honest, he didn't WANT to put the glove back on. It was the first time since Ishbal that he'd had such a repulsion to his alchemy. Not only did it readly remind him of Rika, now that she was again fresh in his mind, but he didn't know what would happen to him if he did. In his panic to save Ed, when he'd used it before, Roy was quite sure that his emotional state had overridden anything else.
But he didn't let such fears show. Instead, Mustang tugged the glove onto his hand and let that familiar pout grace his lips. He looked over at Edward and seemed to focus on something just slightly behind the boy, then nodded. "It's faint, but there." Roy could see the Key. Alright... "We'll have to use this to our advantage somehow. But we can't do anything until some recovery's been made on both our parts. Edward, you can barely move." And Roy hadn't realized that his hand had drifted to his own belly, clutching slightly at his tattered shirt. He was in a decent amount of pain, all at once. Surely it wasn't old wounds... Was it?
The dark haired man leaned back once more in the bed and heaved a quiet sigh. They needed to find some people who could help them. And at the same time, avoid some rather unwanted company. It was going to take a lot of fast thinking and an equal amount of planning. Surely the hardest part, though, was going to be getting along with Edward.
Now THAT was going to be a challenge.

A hero is someone who stands when their legs are gone.

((THIS time post or bust...I mean it! For srs!))
From the position he lay in now Ed had to crane his neck at an awkward angle to watch the Colonel's movements. His eyes followed Mustang's hand as he produced a single glove. The boy vaguely recalled rendering the other one useless. For a brief moment he regretted it, and almost apologized...That was until he recalled Mustang had been trying to roast him- literally, at the time. In that case the glove deserved it. For a second as the Colonel put his glove on, Ed held his breath, almost expecting the dark haired man to lose his mind again. When he didn't go nuts, Ed let out a sigh of relief. At least something was working in their favor.
The already strained and agitated flesh and muscles in the boy's belly twisted painfully at his expression. The rest of his body tensed briefly as it lingered, moreso than it had since he woke up. He rather wished he wasn't as aware as he was. Ultimately his sense of pride kept him from saying anything in complaint, but through slit eyes Ed noticed the Colonel too looking a little tense, as if he was hurting too. He didn't recall anything having happened to Mustang earlier. Ed definitely hadn't gotten in a decent enough hit to cause any lingering damage, and he didn't recall the woman attacking him either. Had something happened after that?
"...You can barely move."
The blond alchemist grit his teeth in response. While Mustang probably hadn't meant for his words to be a challenge, Ed percieved it that way, and stubbornly ignoring his body's demands that he stay still, he slowly propped himself up again. However, he didn't stop there. bracing his weight on his automail arm, he managed, slowly, to maneuver himself into a sitting position. He moved his legs until his feet were lightly touching the floor, and he was more or less facing the Colonel.
Ed swayed once he was upright, nearly falling face first onto the floor as blackness crept in on his vision. He managed to just catch onto the edge of the mattress and pull himself back upright. For a minute or so he was silent, mentally making sure he wasn't going to pass out. Finally he lifted his head. There was no way he would be able to stand right now, but he looked quite determined.
"We sh-should keep moving..." He spoke at last, not fully aware that he was changing the subject. "We're gonna be one big target if we just sit here." Ed painfully shifted his right arm and suddenly part of his sleeve, already torn and burned, pulled away from the rest of his jacket and slipped onto the floor. The blond grunted, and cast a glare at Mustang. "Besides...you owe me new clothes."

((OMG I'M SITTING IN OSCARS AND WRITING A POST! LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL. I'm going to end up forgetting to text you. XD;))
Whether or not Roy had meant what he said as a challenge, or an insult, Edward seemed keen on proving him wrong. The man watched with a certain amount of irritation as Ed forced himself into a sitting position. The hand that was resting over the Colonel's stomach tensed when Ed moved, and then gripped at the fabric of his shirt as the boy tried to stand up. It was slow-going for the blond, but the more he tried to stand, the more he pushed himself, the more ROY'S stomach started hurting. And it was a familiar hurt.
Much like the one that he'd had after Lust had run her spine-like fingers through him.
For a brief moment, Roy's breath caught in his chest and a flash of pain washed over his face. It was questionable as to whether or not Ed noticed, but he quickly removed such a show of weakness and cleared his throat to hide a grunt of pain. Why the HELL was his stomach hurting like that? It was a bit lower and slightly more to the right than the injury he'd received not too long before. But his hand - forced to relax - hadn't felt ANYTHING wrong. There was no blood, no WOUND.
When Ed glared at him, Roy frowned back. "I don't owe you anything. And if you haven't noticed, I'm in a similar state." And such was quite true. While the Colonel's clothing might not have been literally falling apart, it wasn't in the best shape. One sleeve he'd completely torn off to help in Ed's moment of potentially fatal danger. The other was spotted with blood - some Roy's, mostly Ed's. His uniform jacket was covered in his OWN blood from previous injuries in this mysterious place, and those little rust-brown spots were also visible on his pants. The man's hair was a mess, his face still pale under the two-day stubble on his chin. If he wasn't careful, he'd be growing a full-on beard.
"Just transmute some new ones. I'm sure you're smart enough to figure that out. And you aren't going anywhere until you've had some rest." At the look in Ed's eyes, Roy stood up and rather forcefully put a hand on the boy's shoulder, half-shoving him back onto the bed. The pain in his stomach rocketed for a moment before settling to a quiet, dull burning. Roy bit at the inside of his cheek to keep from yelping and instead crossed his arms over his chest and dared Ed to try and protest. "We'll rest a few hours," he said, surprised at how WINDED he was, "Havoc'll keep an eye on things. When you can ACTUALLY stand and ACTUALLY walk, we'll move. And ONLY then, Full-metal."
That said, he half-fell into his own bed, wishing it didn't smell so foreign, the sheets he willed to be less scratchy. Nevertheless, it was a comfort, and he found himself ready to sleep again. However, he turned his head and glared at Edward, "Don't force me to tie you down . We're not leaving until I say we are."
That said, he rolled over, and in but a few minutes, he was softly snoring.
((THAR. WOO. I got a post done! AREN'T YOU SO PROUD!? <3 <3 <3))
