A strange town surrounded by four gigantic white marble walls, and covered by a cloudy, rose-tinted sky. The landscape and buildings are well-cared for, and food and supplies are plentiful. But the only inhabitants are people of a variety of other worlds. It seems everyone residing in Elysian City simply appeared there at random.

No one knows how they ended up here, but everyone knows there is no way to leave. The gates refuse to open to even the strongest muscle or magic, and the walls do not seem to end. What could be going on in this city? It seems that only time will tell.

The Novashake's Aftermath

Her favorite pastime, despite the complete and total shift of dimensions or . . . worlds . . . or . . . other words to describe her particular movement, remained as the wholesome nap. It was not so much out of laziness and lack of energy as much as it was the simple fact she was . . . lethargic . . .

In any case, Noholana Serenity Marisa Danetreacy had been very much so enjoying a nap at a certain appointment and time when the earth moved from beneath her. Well . . . do you really consider it earth when you are not on the planet named "Earth"? Ground then?

Nova sat in surprise, somewhat dumbstruck at the motion that had just occurred and jarred her from her most excellent slumber. Her mind was reeling on what to cause the motion. "Can you call something an earthquake if . . . you're not on Earth?" Nova thought out loud. Her finger found its way to her bottom lip and her head swayed to the side as she blinked. " . . . or am I still on Earth? . . . hmmmmmmmmmmm . . . "

Her deep thought suddenly exploded into a random idea and with absolute GLEE she leaped to her feet and clapped. "OOHHHHH! I know!" she exclaimed. Holding up a finger to emphasize the importance of this proclamation (to herself) she continued, "Until I know for sure I will call it a NOVASHAKE!"

Without warning, a tree, uprooted by the jarring of the ground and held up by the limbs of its neighbor, crashed to the road a few yards off from Nova. Screaming in response, Nova nearly leaped out of her baggy jeans and clamored up the imprisoning wall ending the path.

Panting and wide-eyed, the wolf furre looked over the path and sighed. "Oh, boy . . . that wasn't cool . . . " she stated before looking around. "HEY! Anyone out there? Need help? Can give ME help!? . . . ANYONE HAVE FOOD!?!?"

What Danny Fenton wouldn't have given to sleep in a real bed last night. His back hurt, his neck hurt, his...well, everything was pretty achy. After spending the night on a bench in a rather cold building he hadn't gotten much sleep anyway. He walked along, trying to shift his shoulder to get rid of an annoying and persistent pain. He briefly wondered if sleeping outside in the grass wouldn't have been more comfortable. The boy had honestly been less sore after all out battles with ghosts.

Suddenly he tripped, or at least he felt like he did. He lost his footing and almost stumbled to the ground, realizing after a moment that he had not actually tripped, but the ground underneath him was moving. "Wha...earthquake?" As a pair of nearby trees started to fall toward him, Danny jerked backwards, quickly changing to his ghost form. He was just fast enough to become intangible as one of the rather large trunks crashed where he was standing.

"That was way too close," He said as he floated through the fallen trunk and hovered just above it, waiting for the shaking to stop. He remained intangible, just in case. He was pretty certain his mother wouldn't like to hear that her son met an untimely end by being crushed by a tree. Not to mention he would become the laughing stock of the ghost zone, where he would have been spending a lot more time if he'd been any slower.

When the ground stopped shaking Danny hesitantly lowered himself back to the ground and reverted to his more solid self. He glanced around to survey the damage, after a few seconds deciding that it didn't look like it had been too bad. Of course, he also had no experience to compare it to.

Then a little further ahead he heard screaming...or shouting...Whichever it was, it sounded like someone in trouble. He flew toward the voice, and slowed when he found the...well he wasn't sure what she was...A werewolf maybe? What she was didn't really matter, since Danny had gotten used to seeing a very wide variety of creatures and people around here. He floated behind her, somewhat unsure of what she had been shouting about. "Uh, hey," He finally spoke up when she was finished. "You're not hurt, are you?"

Nova quickly held her hands to her stomach and couldn't help the inhuman noise that released itself from it. At her own mention of food Nova had unknowingly starved herself somehow. This was a feat that not even the wolf furre was sure was possible until just then. Grumbling she looked to her stomach and huffed, "Disgusting . . . " she spoke to the stomach's emptiness.

Suddenly, however, her yelps were answered and Noholana's ears aimed toward the origin of the voice as soon as it was heard. After she was sure she was actually hearing another living, speaking, being, Nova looked up rather excitedly to see . . . some boy soaring through the sky like a bird. Heyyyy - bird! She bet that was what it was!

"Wow! . . . I've never seen a bird like you before. Your beak's tiny!" she exclaimed before frowning. She felt her ears twitch as she resisted the urge to pinch it . . . poke it . . . somehow just touch it . . .

Shaking her head violently, Nova finally looked straight to the flying lad and grinned a wild, ear-to-ear grin to him. "Oh, no! I don't get hurt easily unless falling trees actually land on me!" she explained enthusiastically. Her stomach ached loudly again and her face dropped. "But I do hope you have food else I'm going to eat some grass!"

(( Sorry for the delay! I've been working every day since last Thursday and I'm REALLY tired. I've been sleeping pretty much whenever I can! XD; Back and posting nao though! <3 ))

Danny cocked his head. Well, at least the maybe-werewolf wasn't hurt. He lowered himself to the ground and prepared to introduce himself as...wait, did she just call him a bird?! He stared with an unreadable wide eyed expression for a moment, and then burst out in a fit of nearly uncontrollable laughter.

"I'm not a bird," He said once he'd managed to regain his composure. "I'm a ghost, but--" He spoke quickly to hopefully prevent her from running off, "Not the bad kind, you know? I'm Danny Phantom and...are you a werewolf?"

While waiting for that answer Danny considered the idea that food was a good idea. He thought for a moment, trying to recall just where he had found food the day before. His sense of direction had never been that good...this place needed a map or something. "How 'bout I help you look for food?" He suggested at last. "I dunno about eating grass, but I could really go for a burger or something right now." He pointed in the opposite direction of the fallen tree, completely unsure if he was even pointing the right way. "How about we try this way?"

((Same - but now I'm on spring break! Yay for week of nothingness and . . . homework ;_;))

A small grunting noise came from the back of her throat at the announcement that this creature was not a bird at all. Her lip quivered in disappointment as she whined some like a smacked dog and she sniffed. Why couldn't he be only a little bit more interesting? Monsters, ghosts, and living puppets were SO ordinary and boring to her after years of excitement.

She preferred birds. Actually, she liked chasing cats. Cats . . . why couldn't there be more cats in this place? She never got to chase them anymore - those turtles were so protective of that little orange fur ball back at home--

Focus, Nova.

Suddenly, at hearing the question of her race, Nova couldn't help but let out a quick laugh and shaking her head. "Werewolf? They're like those big, hairy, distant cousin at the family reunions people try to ignore for us. Us, I mean, my people. Well . . . we're not really people . . . we're kinda hairy if you noticed. But werewolves are so tall and their faces look like someone yanked on them to get their noses that big. Plus that SMELL. Yesh. You ever smelled an angry werewolf? It's like a skunk--

"I'm a furre, by the way," she winked as she finally answered his question. "Purebred, too! . . . Oh, wait . . . that would be a lie - sorry. I'm not really that familiar with my own origin. Isn't that kinda funny? You'd think origins are something you'd get a good grasp on. But not me! To tell you the truth I'm not really that good and remembering things. Ha!"

Shaking her head rapidly, Nova's head suddenly became a silver blur on top of her strangely dressed body. She was removing the previous conversation from her mind curiously enough - it was the only way to get herself off a topic.

"FOOD!?" she responded to the magic word. "Really? Food? You know where it is? That's AWESOME - I'm so hungry! You can probably hear that, though - hahaha! Oh, wow, you think I eat grass for fun? Okay, I've done that before - but this time it would only be to settle my stomach. Poor thing. It has to deal with me all the time!"

Rubbing her chin quickly, Nova huffed. "Huh . . . you must have been here for a while to know where food is! Well, I've been here for a while, too, but I've not gone much of anywhere. I think . . . at least . . . that I've been here for a while. Oh, wow - how long HAVE I been here? I guess I can't really say - there's like . . . no clocks. Weeeeeeeeird."

Looking to where he pointed, Nova showed no recognition of where he was pointing but she was completely confident that anyone in the world - be they ghost or no - had a better sense of direction than her. "Hey, it's fine with me if it's fine with you, me thinks." She turned to him and grinned happily. "My name is Noholana Serenity Marisa Danetreacy, by the way. But if you're showing me food you're a friend and you can call me "Nova" if you like. Most people do."

(( Sorry for the delay! I ran out of energy and zonked out before I could get a post in last night. I suxorz x_x; Also, Nova is SO funneh and adorable! XD ))

Danny was a little concerned by the strange girl's reaction and he almost considered questioning it, if only to make sure she was okay. The sound she made reminded him a little of the little ghost puppy that used to follow him around. As she continued speaking though, he became amused by her explanation of werewolves, and he grinned, "Yeah, I get what you're saying," He agreed with a laugh. "I might not know the exact same thing, but a friend of mine, Wulf, is pretty similar."

For a moment the green eyed boy looked thoughtful, then he continued on. "Yeah...I guess origins aren't always the most concr--oop, hey are you okay?" He looked back at Nova just in time to see her shake her head, and before he could press the issue any farther, she had changed subjects. He blinked in surprise, and then, realizing nothing was actually wrong, he nodded in agreement with the next wave of the conversation she'd jumped to.

No clocks...she was right, that WAS weird. He nodded, not commenting on that so he could keep up with her speaking. "Nova...I think I'll try to stay on your good side so I can call you that...I d'no if I can remember your whole name." Danny said playfully. "Anyway...I found a bunch of food in a building, I think yesterday. I just gotta remember where it was..." He again pointed the way he had a few minutes ago. "I think...maybe this way? This place isn't that big. It shouldn't take us too long to find it, right?"
